Position Summary:

Truckstop.com is seeking a UX Architect to join a rapidly growing team focused on delivering exceptional customer value. We are looking for an experienced professional who will introduce innovative ways to invent flows and interfaces to delight end users. You will conduct user research and develop personas, journeys and tests to measure how current designs are performing.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Keen eye for the big picture, expertise on creating storyboards and highly effective interfaces.
  • Create prototypes through compelling visual materials.
  • Inquisitive mindset to dig in deep and learn business processes.
  • Work within an Agile team as well as with the cross-functional design group to contribute expertise on building a cutting-edge platform.
  • Utilize user research from interviews and surveys, and translate them into sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
  • Address overall product functionality to ensure a great user experience, improving and iterating in accordance with user-testing.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor s Degree in interactive design, HCI or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of product or agency experience and a proven track record of achieving concise and stylish results.
  • Build design that focuses on the human factor while keeping in mind interface conventions and perception principles.
  • Track user needs to the interface and identify ways to streamline and resolve issues.
  • Draw up scenarios from vague concepts and gather feedback to design the best solution.
  • Passion for advocating forward-thinking ideas and driving them to fruition, engaging and influencing team members.
  • Design solutions that fit within the customer journey, leveraging or creating reusable approaches that scale across product suite.
  • Create test plans and prototypes or other proof of concepts that can validate design approaches.
  • Write user friendly knowledge base for easy reference.
  • Define text or design changes that elicit a positive user reaction.
  • Expert with Sketch and InVision or Axure, Figma or Principle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting work and actively gathering feedback.
  • Self-motivated and willing to expand knowledge in cutting-edge technologies.
  • Holistic thinker to invest time in a scalable approach rather than snowflake every design.
  • Passionate about user-centric design. Always seeking opportunities to connect interactive design to the user abilities, needs and goals.
  • Can decipher when it is appropriate to experiment and how to deliver in an Agile methodology.
  • Engages management effectively to negotiate a balance.
  • Readily adapts to change; processes, tools and expectations.
  • Knowledge of Logistics and Transportation Industry a plus
Must be or become familiar with company persona s and navigate the company s programs and systems in a reasonable amount of time. Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and use of office equipment. Maintain cooperative effective working relationships within company and support a team environment. Manage own time to meet department goals and deadlines.

Physical Demands:

Minimum physical exertion. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, 10-key calculator and copier/fax.

Work Environment:

Ideal protected indoor office work environment and clean, non-hazardous work area. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
