Apply with The Creative Group for an immediate User Experience (UX) Designer opportunity in the Washington, District of Columbia area. As the User Experience (UX) designer, you will oversee user research, the administering of interviews and surveys of diverse populations, and the translation of results into sitemaps, wireframes, and design prototypes. Along with administering daily responsibilities, you will also create the overall functionality of the product and work tirelessly to make incremental improvements to deliver an exceptional user experience. This position is the best fit for a creative thinker who enjoys working independently as well as collaborating with colleagues.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Use results from user research and workflow analysis to craft strong experiences for users of a product

- Overseeing usability testing on prototypes or finished products to assess the quality of a user experience

- Joining forces with business users and application developers to translate requirements into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes

- Lending support to other team members as needed (QA, data entry, production updates, resizing of graphics, etc.)

- Developing tools like personas, usage scenarios, site maps, taxonomies, and wireframes

- Partnering with other members of the digital marketing team on the development of new initiatives

- Areas of focus may consist of content, controls, visual design, packaging, customer/technical support, branding, and other aspects of user experience

Job Requirements:
Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images

Requirements
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
- Portfolio of design projects
- Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Good time-management skills
