Job Overview: The Designer, Enterprise UX is responsible for researching, designing, innovating and prototyping new user experiences for our enterprise experiences and internal tools that pave the way for the future of retail. Deliverables include design mockups, experience flows, prototyping, design presentations, production of visual assets, process design and development, and follow up for proper implementation. The candidate will collaborate with business owners, engineering and technology teams and will be a key contributor to the user experience solutions. This position requires a proven track record of delivering elegant, world-class designs in a fast-paced collaborative team environment, solving business goals and user needs, working and influencing in a cross-functional context, and using research and data to inform the design of user experiences. The applicant must have an affinity for minimal design, typography, and attention to the smallest of details. A strong ability to distill complex problems into simple and elegant solutions. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: The key responsibilities for this role include developing creative and innovative design solutions for enterprise tools and experiences that support multiple types of users in different types of roles with varying scope and objectives. Development and execution of UX design vision and deliverables within your assigned channel. Collaboration & communication with all projects and initiatives to ensure consistency and clarity. Designs domain experience that meets business goals and user needs (eg KPI's and user success metrics). Effectively collaborates with managers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to define, conceptualize, and design end user-facing products. Partner with the UX leadership team to define the domain experience and to ensure deliverables are consistent with the user experience design vision. Designs across web, mobile apps, and in-store environments, ensuring a consistent user experience across different platforms. Works through domain design problems from beginning to end: conceptualizes new products and features, designs storyboards, workflows, interactions, wireframes, and high fidelity mockups based on business goals and user research. Work closely with the domain UX Manager and UX Lead to ensure deliverables are consistent with the overall design system. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Qualifications: Education/Experience: BA/BS in Design Required, preferably in UX related fields of HCI, Industrial Design, Product Design, Architecture or Graphic Design. Minimum 2 years UX/UI design experience across mobile applications, websites, or retail stores. Strong analytical and conceptual UX design skills. Knowledgeable of designing for mobile apps and responsive web experiences; knowledgeable of user interface design processes and methodology, including user-centered design. Capable of designing user experiences that support business goals and user needs. Ability to design high-fidelity mockups and prototypes, and iterate on user interface design and interaction flow of applications and experiences based on user feedback. Ability to leverage metrics, optimization, and qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate design decisions. Must have a strong user experience design portfolio that demonstrates design solutions for complex problems. Experience with rapid prototyping and visualization tools such as Axure, iRise, Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Adobe CC, Invision, Flinto, Framer, UXPin or other UX prototyping tools. Experience with visual software tools such as Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, Fireworks and other design tools. Experience with style guides, iconography, and/or typography. Experience with front-end web and mobile technologies such as CSS, HTML5, and front-end frameworks such as JavaScript/JQuery/Angular/React/Bootstrap, Section 508 compliance, API and general understanding of back end technologies such as Java that are required to build out experiences. Partnering well with technology is a must. Communication Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret business and technical documents and cultivate strong relationships with key business stakeholders in the organization. Negotiation skills across a variety of audiences; can successfully advocate solutions among peers and to executive leadership. Create and present documentation, findings and points of view material. Able to effectively communicate across teams and roles. Ability to deliver projects on time, with high quality and within budget. Mathematical Skills: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and analytical skills. Reasoning Ability: Ability to perform in a fast paced, high stress iterative design process under minimal supervision. Physical Demands: This position involves regular ambulating, sitting, hearing, and talking. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Other Skills: Time management and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, at various stages of their development. Interest in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team. Work Hours: Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
