We're looking for a Product Designer to join the Enterprise Experience team. The Enterprise Experience team is responsible for designing exceptional digital experiences across our 50,000+ global employee base through partnership with HR, Talent, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Technology organizations. You'll have the opportunity to build products and best practices across diverse user bases and enterprise goals. In collaboration with Product Owners, agile teams, and UX team members, you will create user-centered design solutions with design thinking methodologies, user research methodologies (such as field studies, journey mapping, usability studies, etc.), and elegant product design solutions. You'll be empowered to dive deep into opportunity areas, build relationships, understand business objectives, and recommend/deliver UX activities and methodologies in collaboration with your UX team members and agile stakeholders. We align to top employee experience initiatives and strategically establish priorities and roadmaps for critical moments that are uncovered through thoughtful user research.

This role is based in Boston MA, Portsmouth NH, Dover, NH, or Wausau WI

User experience - You will create user-centered design solutions that emphasize ease of use, employ best-in-class interaction designs, and improve the employee experience, according to established KPIs and baselines. You will be responsible for developing product storyboards, personas/customer journeys, wireframes, flow diagrams, prototypes, and final visual assets.

Visual design - You will ensure that the look and feel, layout, and interaction details of your work meet the customer's needs and deliver against business objectives. Ultimately you will be responsible for ensuring the designs you create match the Liberty Mutual brand for our digital touchpoints.

User research - You will identify user research needs and participate in immersive user research, partnering with more experienced researchers to plan and deliver studies, findings, and recommendations. You will advocate always for the user and ensuring what we build keeps their needs in mind.

Collaboration - You will be involved with the whole product lifecycle, from problem identification, to ideation, and through execution. As such, you will work with multiple functions, including product owners, developers, stakeholders, content strategists, and other designers. You will constantly seek and share constructive feedback.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience designing for the web, mobile, apps and more.
  • Expertise in UX design, prototyping, visual design, strong understanding of user research.
  • Experience using design tools for developing/maintaining experience and service design maps, journey maps, storyboards, wireframes and prototypes.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting to create user experience and design solutions based on UX research and analytics.
  • Familiarity working with methodologies such as Design Thinking, Lean UX and Agile development practices.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product, and Analytics.
  • Strong organization and analytical thinking skills, with a track record of turning moderately complex content into user scenarios, flows, and diagrams.
  • Portfolio with case studies of relevant UX/UI projects.
