We're building something new in Victor, NY. A destination devoted to sports. A place where the community will gather and be inspired. To create this new experience, we're building a team that will dream big, obsess over the athlete (our customer), inspire teammates and challenge every 'normal' thing about retail.

This is an exciting role for our new store experience - we're seeking a
User Experience Designer. This opportunity has never existed in our stores, because the work we're doing is beyond anything retail has ever seen. Think about a role where you are creating most innovative, customer obsessed experience - ever - in retail, and frankly in any customer focused industry.

This designer will focus on retail innovation. You'll have the opportunity to use user-centered research and design practice to create intuitive, engaging, easy to use retail products and services.


Qualifications

The role you'll play: * Lead projects and execute research to gather the right insights needed to shape innovative retail experiences. * Actively engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into experiences. * Elicit qualitative and quantitative user feedback through usability testing, survey designs, user interviews, data analysis, heuristic evaluations, exploratory research methods, and other modern research practices. * Utilize industry standard design tools to create top quality user interfaces, customer interactions, and interactive prototypes. * Plan, execute, and iterates deliverables and research from inception through launch. What you'll bring to the table: * Degree: Bachelor's, Master's, or certification in Design, Technology, or a related field * 4+ years of UXD experience * Your UI design skills are top-notch and you contribute to establishing, maintaining and approving style guides and pattern libraries. * You possess an expert level understanding of user-centered design practice through the application of type, color, and motion. * Experience working directly with business stakeholders * Ability to clearly present design approaches to wide-ranging audiences (e.g. business, product management and technology teams) * Understanding of consumer research methods (hands-on research experience is a huge plus)
