This role is responsible for the remoteimplementation and maintenance of the interface between the RALS datamanagement system and the hospital LIS.RESPONSIBILITIES:Achievecompetency with the RALS data management system to include the RALS-ADT and RALS-LISInterfacesBasedon specifications provided by end user, tailor the RALS-ADT generic scripts tosuccessfully receive patient demographics from the Hospital Information System(HIS)Tailorend user interface according to the different HIS requirementsBasedon specifications provided by end user, tailor the RALS-LIS generic scripts toallow the successful transmission of results to the Laboratory InformationSystem (LIS)PatientID handling and validationCommenthandling Resultrange and critical handlingSingleand multi-analyte profile and result handlingCustomerspecific situational requirementsUnderstandthe requirements and differences of a terminal emulation interface and an HL7interfaceTailoreach interface according to the different LIS requirementsParticipatein internal script review for each tailored interface provided to end userManageworkload to meet end user and HIS/LIS vendor test and go-live timelinesOwnand manage individual projects as well as function as a resource for largerproject teamsManagecustomer expectations and provide ongoing customer supportResponsible for mandatory weekly timetracking/recording of specific activities such as project work, training, etc.to ensure financial & business complianceProvideafter-hours project support as neededCompleteother assigned projects/tasks as necessary.Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:TechnicalAssociates Degree in networking/software related field (BA/BS preferred)Previousexperience with Object Oriented Programming and general understanding of codingconceptsExperiencewith Java script Familiaritywith remote connectivity and network communication protocolsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experiencewith LIS/HIS systems such as Meditech, Cerner, Epic, etc. is strongly preferredDatabasemanagement experienceFamiliaritywith Mirth/Nextgen interface enginesFamiliaritywith Visual Basic 6About AbbottAbbott is a global healthcare leader that helps people livemore fully at all stages of life.
